I'm pausing the recent theme on home decor. I feel like since that's now mostly what I read about on my favorite blogs, it's what I should be doing here as well. But, let's be honest. No one is ever going to follow me because I have seriously innovative and interesting home decor ideas. Just ask anyone who has seen our bedroom.
Back before this little blog got abandoned for a wedding, I'd posted a couple things about my job and future career ambitions. The week we got engaged, I began a new job. I'd gone through a really rough period at my previous employer which ultimately resulted in my resignation and new career venture. I've now been there for nearly a year and a half, and I am still very happy. However, I always had dreamed of going back to school and eventually teaching.
I'm not totally sure that a Ph.D. is ever in my future, but I am going back to school. Well, that is if they let me in. Actually, I'm not really concerned about admission, per se. Acquiring any scholarship money due to having the GRE weigh heavily on that criteria, however, is another story. The GRE isn't even considered as part of the admission criteria. If I want any scholarship money though, it's mandatory.
Let's be honest. I hated geometry when I took it eleven years ago. I probably like it even worse now that I'm being forced to relearn it (on deminishing brain retention) only to be allowed to forget it in a few weeks because IT DOES NOT MATTER. Since I'm so disintrested in the material, I've found myself becoming busy with ten other things before I sit down to study. The house is cleaner and more projects are done.
In a week, the test will be over, and it's just a waiting game from there. I think more than anything what I've come to realize is that the older I get, the less I know what I want to do. I'm figuring it out as I go, but as long as I'm happy in the meantime, that's alright with me.

I know you'll do great on your test!
Nice blog! I like your writing way. I'm doing practice GRE here: masteryourgre.com . I hope it's useful for GRE test takers.
